The shooter in a Christmas tree shooting in Longwood Gardens on Sunday evening was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities say they received a call from the homeowner at about 5:15 p.m. about shots fired at a home in the 5500 block of Main Street.
When officers arrived, they found a male in his 40s suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers located a female in her 20s suffering with a gunshot injury to her head and transported her to a local hospital.
The male suspect is described as 5-feet, 9-inches tall, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
A 4-month-old boy was treated at the hospital for a gunshot to the arm and leg.
Investigators are still investigating the incident, but are confident that they know the suspect’s identity and are looking for any additional suspects.
